10 COMMON MISTAKES NEW USERS MAKE ON STASHPATRICK TOR (AND HOW TO AVOID THEM)
StashPatrick Tor isn’t like the clearnet stashpatrick.fans. One wrong move and you’re exposed, scammed, or worse. New users repeat the same mistakes because they treat it like a regular marketplace. It’s not. Here’s exactly what you’re doing wrong—and how to fix it before it costs you.

WRONG BRIDGE SETTINGS OUT OF THE GATE
Tor’s default bridges are fine for browsing cat memes. They’re not fine for StashPatrick. Exit nodes get flagged, blocked, or monitored. If you’re connecting straight through without obfuscation, you’re painting a target on your back.
Use meek-azure or snowflake bridges. Meek-azure masks traffic as Microsoft Azure cloud requests—blends into corporate noise. Snowflake uses volunteer proxies that rotate constantly. Both bypass basic blocking. Test them before you log in: if the connection stalls or drops, switch. Never assume the first bridge you pick is safe.
Set your Tor Browser security level to “Safest” before you even open StashPatrick. This disables JavaScript, WebGL, and other attack vectors. Yes, some sites break. StashPatrick won’t. If a vendor’s page looks janky, that’s the trade-off. Better janky than jail.

USING CLEARNET EMAILS FOR REGISTRATION
Gmail, Proton, Tutanota—all of them log metadata. Even if the email itself is encrypted, the fact that you signed up at 2:17 AM from a Tor exit node is recorded. Law enforcement subpoenas that data. Vendors get compromised. Your email becomes a breadcrumb trail.
Generate a new @cock.li or @elude.in email for every StashPatrick account. Use a unique, 16-character password with uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols. Store it in KeePassXC, not your browser. Never reuse passwords. If a vendor asks for a recovery email, walk away. Legit vendors don’t need it.
For PGP, use a fresh key pair. Name it something generic like “user1234” and set the expiration to 6 months. Rotate keys every 3 months regardless. If a vendor’s PGP key looks old or reused, message them to confirm. If they don’t respond, assume it’s compromised.

IGNORING VENDOR FEEDBACK THRESHOLDS
New users see a 4.8-star vendor and think, “Good enough.” It’s not. Feedback can be faked, inflated, or outdated. You need hard numbers.
Only consider vendors with at least 50 completed orders. Below that, the sample size is too small. Look for consistency: if the last 20 reviews are all 5-star with the same phrasing, they’re fake. Real feedback has typos, varied wording, and occasional 4-star ratings.
Check the “disputes” tab. More than 5% disputes? Red flag. Even 2% is high. Vendors with 0% disputes are either new or lying. Aim for 0.5% or lower. If a vendor has 100 orders and 1 dispute, that’s acceptable. If they have 1000 orders and 10 disputes, they’re cutting corners.

PAYING WITH TRACEABLE COINS
Bitcoin isn’t anonymous. Every transaction is public. If you send BTC straight from Coinbase to a StashPatrick vendor, you’ve just linked your identity to that purchase. Chain analysis tools make this trivial.
Use Monero (XMR) for every transaction. If a vendor doesn’t accept XMR, find another one. If you must use BTC, follow this chain: Coinbase → Wasabi Wallet (coinjoin) → Electrum (new address) → Vendor. Never reuse addresses. Never send from an exchange directly.
For XMR, use the official Monero GUI wallet. Generate a new subaddress for every purchase. Wait for 10 confirmations before marking the order as paid. If a vendor pressures you to mark it early, they’re scamming.

SKIPPING THE ESCROW SAFETY NET
StashPatrick’s escrow system is your only protection against exit scams. New users bypass it to save 5% on fees. That 5% is the cost of not getting robbed.
Always use escrow. If a vendor says “finalize early” or “I’ll throw in extra,” they’re scamming. No exceptions. If they refuse escrow, report them and move on. Legit vendors don’t need to rush you.
When you receive your order, inspect it immediately. If it’s short, damaged, or wrong, open a dispute within 24 hours. Include photos, weights, and timestamps. Be specific: “Received 2.8g instead of 3.5g, see attached scale photo.” Vague disputes get ignored.

USING THE SAME TOR CIRCUIT FOR TOO LONG
Tor circuits rotate every 10 minutes by default. New users keep the same circuit for hours, thinking it’s “stable.” It’s not. The longer you use one circuit, the more metadata leaks.
Force a new circuit every 15 minutes. Click the onion icon in Tor Browser and select “New Tor Circuit for this Site.” Do this even if the site seems fine. If you’re in the middle of a transaction, finish it first—don’t switch mid-payment.
Never log into StashPatrick and another site in the same session. If you check your email and then log into StashPatrick, you’ve just linked those two identities. Use separate Tor Browser instances or at least separate circuits.
